Ring Central Presence
Login to Ring Central Admin
User Tab>Locate Staff Member on first line>Click on user>In Device and Numbers>Choose Presence Option>
On the Appearance Tab check the following:
Ring my phone when any user I am monitoring rings
Enable me to pick up a monitored line on hold
Scroll down and click "Assign Extension" on the right> Search for staff you are adding in the Presence Group>click the name>Assign>scroll down and Save>Yes.
Go back to Users and search for the additional staff that you added to the phone>Device and Numbers>Choose Presence Option>Permission Tab (NOT Appearance Tab)
Check ON: Allow other users to see my Presence status:
Check EVERYBODY: When on a call, share my details with:
Search for original User (NOT the Presence User)>Select>Save
PLEASE NOTE:
Incoming Calls to the added extension you must press the line to answer. If you just pick up, it will continue to ring.
Outgoing calls do not choose your extension to dial out, just pick up the phone and dial the number.
TO REMOVE PRESENCE:
Login to Ring Central Admin
User Tab>Locate Staff Member on first line>Click on user>In Device and Numbers>Choose Presence Option>
On the Appearance Tab uncheck the following:
Ring my phone when any user I am monitoring rings
Enable me to pick up a monitored line on hold
Scroll down and click "Remove" next to the secondary user whose presence you want to remove, scroll down and Save>yes
Go back to Users and search for the additional staff that you added to the phone>Device and Numbers>Choose Presence Option>Permission Tab (NOT Appearance Tab)
Click "Show selected", uncheck the primary user, click "Save"
